        1. This only works as trigger, right? So if you want to use it as event condition, you can use this to trigger a global variable, then use that var as condition for other events?
        2. Does it only show triggers for a single event, or also other events?

        Cheers, looking forward to it.

Like all triggers and conditions they can be used in as many events as you choose.

How about a trigger to make using multi-taps on a light switch easier? It can be done now with timers and counters--but it involves multiple events, a timer, a counter for each switch. A trigger that was __X_taps (on, off, activation, etc...) in __Y__ time (sec, min, hour). This could be used for multi tap, or to action when something is turned on for the 5th time in a day, etc....

I think HS3 definitely lacks some triggers and I would love to try your plugin. I constantly struggle with finding the triggers I want. Also, every month I have to manually transcribe my work schedule from gmail calendar into list of dates in HS3. I wish I could import them or have a large open calendar in which i could click on date squares and see ALL of the dates i selected, to be sure...

You might look at Blades Google Calendar plugin...

That would be a very specific trigger, and I don't see a lot of use cases except for the one you described.
So I think I'm going to implement some more basic triggers/conditions first

are you using "the date is..." condition right now?
if so, what you don't like about it is that you don't see the selected dates graphically in the calendar?

I mention it because it's not currently easy. It's kind of a pain to do this now. I guess I'm focusing on the word "easy" in the prospective name.

Both ifttt and blades gdata plugins can be used for the google calendar. I currently use your ifttt plugin for this.

I definitely use that condition now. Ideally, I wish I could simply match the specific expression in my Gmail calendar and have HS3 use it as a trigger. That would eliminate the work of manually transcribing my work schedule into HS event. However, such transcribing would be easier if I could see the ALL of the dates I seleted on one LARGE monthly view pop-up, with dates being highlighted in much the same way as you'd have them on a paper wall calendar. Right now, it is a scrolling list of dates, which disappears beyond screen view as you continue to add dates: usable, but probably of of the worst ways to implement entry of multiple dates.

Some of this is, of course, unique to my situation. I know my work schedule for a few months ahead and so, I try to enter as much as possible, so that I don't have to repeat this process every couple of weeks. As a result, the "date is..." condition is a long, long list of dates...

Is that GData plugin? Can it use events created in Google calendar outside of HS as a trigger?

Yes and yes. It's great. I have a Google calendar called heating and can set the heating schedule from it by adding events from my phone.

There is a free trial. Have a go.

I have just posted the first version of the plugin here: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread...81#post1170481

this version doesn't have conditions yet but they will be added soon.

try it and let me know what you think.

                                EDIT: conditions are implemented now
