    Life360 throwing UpdateInterval Exception

    sirmeili

Hi Frank, today i started getting these errors in my HS3 log every minute. A restart of the plugin seems to have fixed it for the moment, but wanted to let you know in case you get a chance to check it out when you are looking at the code.
Feb-01 4:09:57 PM Life360 ERROR Exception UpdateInterval: Newtonsoft.Json.JsonReaderException: Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 0, position 0. at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonTextReader.ParseValue() at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonTextReader.Read() at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonReader.ReadForType(JsonContract contract, Boolean hasConverter) at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonSerializerInternalReader.D eserialize(JsonReader reader, Type objectType, Boolean checkAdditionalContent) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializer.DeserializeInternal(JsonReade r reader, Type objectType) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.DeserializeObject(String value, Type type, JsonSerializerSettings settings) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.DeserializeObject[T](String value, JsonSerializerSettings settings) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.DeserializeObject[T](String value) at HSPI_Life360.Plugin.UpdateLife360Devices(Object obj)
Nothing else in my system seems to be having issues at the moment, and after restarting the plugin it seems to be working ok. I will let you know if the error returns. Thanks.

Ok. I will take a look. I may need to add some debugging and pass you an alternate version to try so I can get where the error is happening.

      Thanks!

Today I am getting this error approximately every 5 hours so far (and once yesterday):
Feb-03 10:02:23 AM Life360 ERROR Exception UpdateInterval: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at HSPI_Life360.Plugin.UpdateLife360Devices(Object obj)

Feb-03 12:55:19 AM Life360 ERROR Exception UpdateInterval: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at HSPI_Life360.Plugin.UpdateLife360Devices(Object obj)
Feb-02 6:22:17 PM Life360 ERROR Exception UpdateInterval: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at HSPI_Life360.Plugin.UpdateLife360Devices(Object obj)
I do not know if it is related to the above or not. The PI seems to be working.

My update interval is 1 minute and can not think of anything that happened specifically at those times (such as a user leaving or arriving anywhere that would have triggered a webhook).

I don't know if this is just their webservice timing out once in a while? I will turn on debug logging and let it run for a while. If it happens again I will PM you the log.

Ok. I will be looking into it. I'm working on converting some of the plugins to my base plugin library I use.
