The "donate" button does not work. I like the PI so I tried to donate.

    Hi Sami,

Thank you for trying to donate, this is much appreciated.
I have tested the donate button using Chrome and Edge browsers and it appears to work. Do you get a specific error message when you try?

Alternatively you could try the following url:
    https://www.paypal.me/SteveMSJ

    Thanks,
    Steve

So I donated just a second earlier. Thanks again for a very nice plug-in. It would be nice to have one that monitors the health of ALL devices on the network to identify devices that might no longer be communicating. I understand it might involve polling which could be limited to once or twice a day.

          Hi Sami

Thanks very much for the donation.

There have been one or two requests for monitoring of other devices, i.e. not just battery devices. It is something I have considered but I don't really feel there is enough of a need for it. I don't really have any problems with other devices, although this sort of statement is guaranteed to initiate a complete meltdown of my system
Also, with HS4 on the horizon it's not a good time to put too much effort into adding features which may hopefully be unnecessary with the updated core product.

Do you have problems with specific devices or technologies?

            Hi Steve,

If HS4 is on the way in the not too distant future then I agree with you that it would be wiser to wait. HS4 may actually have a health-check feature of ALL devices, or HS4 may break the plugin that you write.

I do have occasional problems with some devices going offline. A particular cause seems to be related to the multiple Z-Net controllers,in my network getting out of sync. There may be other causes as well. I transitioned from Vera where I would get notified if a device went offline. It was a very convenient feature.

            Regards,
            Sam
