Battery Device (any) Report report "Device Not Found"

    Steve,

Trust all is well with you and yours in light of 2020? Dumb question I have set my events to your examples within your guide but when I execute a "Short" or "Full" Report I get "Device Not Found". I can see that my virtual battery devices are alive and well and reporting accurately including the root device and if I select either status, short or full within the device it reflect correctly. But when I either select Failure Report or Full Report in the General Device Checking > Display Reports I get "404 Bad Request: /SDJ-Health/SDJ-Health General Report-0.html" or "404 Bad Request: /SDJ-Health/SDJ-Health General Report-1.html" respectively, obviously when I attempt the same via an event I get "Device Not Found". Any clues what might be the problem and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Mike

    Hi Mike,
Things are somewhat surreal here, although there does appear to finally be light at the end of the tunnel, but its a long tunnel.

So, I think from what you are saying the 'Battery Devices' section of the pi is working ok for you, but you are having an issue with the 'General Devices' section, is that correct?

What version of HS are you running and what os?

If you get an error when you click on the 'Failure Report' and 'Full Report' buttons it means you haven't generated any reports yet or for some reason the pi can't find them. When you run a scan in the 'General Devices' section, either automatically or manually, 2 files are created in your '...\html\SDJ-Health\' folder. These are named:
    SDJ-Health General Report-0.html
    and

    SDJ-Health General Report-1.html
(Note – If running under HS4 the file names will not have spaces as this causes problems with HS4 displaying the reports)

Can you see if the files are there on your system and whether or not the names have spaces?

    Steve

Thanxs for the quick come-back... I'm still running HS3 (am waiting for a stable version and amble time to fix the oops) with PI ver 3.0.87. Funny thing is when I look for \html\SDJ-Health folder I do seem not to have one so that explains part of the problem, do you suggest re-installing PI? Mike

Well, I’m a bit bemused but as long as it is working for you then all is good.
