    Log monitor and 4.2.17.2 (beta)

Since upgrading to HS 4.2.17.2 (the latest beta with the changes for conditional events), my log monitor setup has not been triggering events.

I have two simple LogMatch entries set up, one for LogType "Z-Wave Error,Error" and one for LogType "Info" with LogText "Data backup". Both trigger the same simple event that sends an e-mail. Neither of these has fired since I upgraded to the beta.

    Any known issues?

No one has reported any issues but I haven’t run any tests with 4.2.17.x yet.
I will try and find time over the next few days to test.

I have done some testing with HS4 4.2.17.3. and I think I have identified the issue. I've posted Beta 3.1.1.4.

Please can you give it a try and see if it sorts it for you.

I don’t know if you have seen the other threads. The log database moved to the operating system root from the HomeSeer root. Spud said that will be fixed soon.

          Thanks Randy.

I have seen that thread and initially thought it might be something to do with that. However, I actually found it was a bug in my plug-in that only shows up with the new HS4 beta
It was an easy fix, although I'll await confirmation from windracer before cracking open the beers

Yeah, and the log file location thing only seemed to affect Windows (I still see my log under /usr/local/Homeseer/Logs in Linux).

I'll get the new beta installed and check it out, thanks!

SteveMSJ log monitoring seems to be working again with that new beta.

Ok thanks for the response. I will upgrade it to release status in a day or so.
