    Help installing Kindle Fire

I installed a bunch of Kindle Fire's a long time ago and wrote down all of the steps. Clearly a lot has changed. Also, Help file is not up to date - but that has been noted many times on the forum.

I have AutoRemote installed on the new Kindle.
I have setup the Tasker device in Homeseer and entered the URL information from AutoRemote.
When I use the device control for this Tasker device nothing happens.
I notice that the IP address is blank in the Device setup.
So I put in the IP of the address and it tells me "Warning, your auto remote with ip: 192.168.2.130 does not respond. I double confirmed that the IP is correct and both the homeseer server and the Kindle are sitting on the same network.
My other Kindles that were setup in homeseer (a long time ago) are working fine.

    Second question:

When setting up the Tasker app on the Kindle - the Tasker screen today looks nothing like the one in the documentation.

I can't find " installation Help Tasker HS3" in Google Play any more???

What are the steps for setting up Tasker on the device?

    Thanks.

Hi, not sure why the app is not found anymore on Google Play but you might try below instead.
From your tasker device, browse to following URL's from ex. Chrome and enter the URL below.
Press green Import button and follow the steps and allow needed permissions for different type of tasks.

Thanks, I will try this out tonight. Regarding my first question. Should I put the IP address of the Kindle in the device setup and why am I getting that error? Presumably the error indicates that it is not connecting to the Kindle? Thanks.

Hi, no you should not need to enter IP. This is for users that only need local connection. Open autoremote and view logs and see if you see any traffic there.
