HS Buddy Geofencing not updating on Iphone

Hi All,
I have an Android phone with HSbuddy and geofencing configured and it works beautifully. I decided to install it on my wife's Iphone. All seemed to work well but it seems that unless I have the phone in my hand with HSbuddy open, the phone does not update location information to Homeseer and geofencing does not work. She rarely uses WIFI so it is linked with my MyHS account. I am not a Iphone guy, is there a setting that I am missing that maybe shuts down HSbuddy and prevents it from updating unless it is actively being used on the phone? Thanks for your help.

Hello!

When geolocation is enabled in the app it will automatically ask for permission to acquire location even when the app is in the background. If permission is denied the first time, the app will not ask for permission again, but it won't be able to report location to the server unless the app is in the foreground.

You can check in iPhone if location permission is granted to the app following the steps in this page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207092

If that does not help, I would recommend sending a feedback report from the app itself following the steps outlined at the bottom of this page: http://hsbuddy.avglabs.net/pages/geofencing.html#file-a-report

I checked the settings and they were correct. Just for fun I disabled locations services on that phone and re enabled it. That seemed to fix the issue. Thank you for your help.
