Must HSBuddy app be active to provide geofence data

Does the HSBuddy app must be active to provide geofence data to the server? For example when i reboot my iphone the app is not started automatically.

I tested the behavior. I closed the app and drove away from my home. No notifications at all. Only when the app is active this is working. I’m using iPhone 13
somebody experienced same problem?

Same here, I've really never received a geofence notification or trigger when the app isn't running. But I know there is a way to register it so that iOS will launch it based on GPS or other criteria.
