  • Sighthound

So I bit the bullet and bought sighthound. It's working well and I'll use web hooks for motion detection. The question now is has anyone successfully gotten its feeds into Imperihome or homeseer in general? I know the end all be all would be to use blue iris and give it's feed to sighthound then use Blue Iris to manage everything else but I don't have the $800 for a new windows server.

Before in Hstouch, I've used sighthound video streams from UltraJones plugin.

Try before u buy, cause it's been a while since I did that

Sighthound is expensive... Blue Iris has built-in support for Sentry (www.smarthomesentry.com)... why not use that? I dont use either one, not sure there is really any value as BI does pretty well with motion. I'm not sure what value Face Recognition really has -- plus, if the Internet goes down or glitches FR is not going to help anything.

btw... $800 for a new PC? You are WAY overspending. My BI system ~$400-500, micro form factor (book size) -- averages 26% CPU (I5-6500T, 8gb RAM, 256 SSD) runs 10x 1080p cams at 20fps + Emby Sever full time. You can get away with a dedicated BI system for $200-300, easily and less if you want older/larger hardware

Of topic, but do you automate emby, if yes with http calls?

Nope. haven't seen a reason to, for me.
