Speak issue

Hi,

I have setup the API and locked my Android tablet in DHCP to get the same IP everytime.

I can make an action that opens dashboard, but speak says nothing (I have checked the volume :-D)

What am I doing wrong?

Have you ticked the "Speak Proxy" checkbox at the bottom of the Control API tab?

You're right, I just tested this again and it looks like if you do not provide a vol parameter, the default volume is 0. It must have change recently because when I implemented it, it was working fine without the vol parameter

do you mean using the web page at http://192.168.110.81:8080/ ?

it works for me if set vol to something > 0

if it doesn't work for you, the problem is with your phone or with the imperihome app.

Well I have rebooted the device, it's a simple asus tablet I have bought just for this, all is factory default.

i have checked notification settings and all is as it should.

if I use voice recognition it works with that from the web page.

SOLVED!

HOORAY!! Solved it!!

I went to the devices settings:

language and input --> Text To Speech

Clicked the Gear icon, the language was set to "System Default" , but as I use Danish, it could not find any langage for that, and thats why it was deactivated.

I set it to English, and suddenly all worked.
