devices deleted, how to remove/reinstall plugin?

I was having trouble getting the calculated values to show up (dew point, etc). I tried deleting the devices from the home screen thinking they would be re-created (bad idea). I accidentally deleted the root device for this plugin. I can now not get it to create any devices. I have tried removing the plugin, etc but nothing works. Is it possible to provide instructions on how to delete this plugin so I can start over?

Here is an example of the current debug log:

    Questions:

    What PWS are you using?
Do you have the external Observer IP module (little black box NO display screen only blue LED lights)?

You should not need to re-install the plugin. You already deleted the root device. Go to the main configuration page and validate. Click connect and it will create the root device. Go to the plugin 'Devices Page' in the Plugin configuration drop down from the Plug-ins menu or from the link in the main configuration page. Select the devices you want created. Click update.

Ensure you have your Ambient Weather API key setup or you won't get any updates. The computed values are only for values that come from AmbientWeather.Net and do not work for the Local Only mode using an Observer IP Module as the values do not exist.

Thanks, I was finally able to get the devices recreated. It seems like toggling the "local only mode" is what finally fixed it. I am using the beta so there is no "connect" option.

I am still unable to get the computed values from ambientweather. I have an observer ip and my api key is configured in the app:

The logs are showing the updates a "Local update" which means direct from the Observer IP and not from Ambient Weather. Are you reporting to Ambient Weather? You can see your PWS from the AmbientWeather.Net dashboard and the sensors and values are present?

Please post screenshots of your configuration.

I have had this Oip reporting to ambientweather.net for a while now. My PI configuration does not have local checked currently

My assumption was that this app would pull local data from the Observer IP and only use ambientweather.net for the computed values. Are you saying that in order to get the computed values I need to get all data from ambientweather even if it is available locally?

No you should be able to get AmbientWeather.Net data + local from ObserverIP. One problem I do see is the default polling for the Local needs to be changed. The 16 seconds will KILL the OIP very fast. Through testing I don't recommend anything lower than 1 minute for Local OIP and even then it may kill the OIP. There's a lot of discussion around this but it's an OIP memory issue that causes it to lock up and require a power reset. This needs to be updated in the next release.

It is not updating any values from AmbientWeather.Net in the Logs. It should show updates for AmbientWeather.Net and OIP Local updates.

What specific computed values are not showing? Can you enable debug and check logs for updates as they will be at different time intervals unless you set them exactly the same. OIP will be marked "Local Update" and AW.Net will just be "Update"

I have changed the poll to 1 minute. I have not had any issues with my OIP...it has the firmware upgraded to 4.5.1.

The missing data is dew point, rain total, rain last and feels like.

it seems that the plugin is stuck on local updates regardless of the setting in the config:

The logs are still showing ONLY local updates. Please verify your API key. I have just installed from scratch and tested and things are working fine on my system with two different PWS systems and a OIP.

Have you verified connectivity to AW.Net from the HS3 box? Can you browse or connect from the HS3 server to AmbientWeather.Net? Possible Firewall issues have been known to be problems with plugins.

What version and OS are you running with HS3?

Why didn't I guess it would be a Linux install on SEL.... Did you upgrade your Mono version or is it stock?

The Mono upgrade is completely different than HS3 upgrade. However in either event I would be concerned as a bad Mono upgrade will prevent HS3 from running at all. As this is a HS HomeTroller SEL I would reach out to support for "Official" Mono upgrade instructions so if there is a problem they will fix things. For the life of me I still don't know why HST has not upgraded the Linux OS and Mono Versions on their controllers.
