    I never responded back but I too have been doing the same around midnight or 1am and also have had no issues.

          I use this with my IP ofcourse:

          &nhs.GetURL("192.168.1.141","/msgreboot.htm",0,80)

              Looks like an old thread, but I noticed my observer IP locked up. Firmware 4.6.1. Polling every 5 minutes. Have a Zwave applicance module on the way to enable a reboot every few nights.
              HS3 Pro Edition 3.0.0.435 (Windows Server 8.1 on ESXi box)

                Does the reboot not work for you? Just wondering why you power cycle it instead of just issuing the reboot?
