Cannot get initial install to work

After setting up weather station, I downloading the PI. Went to the config page and put in everything except API key since I had no idea what you were referring to, no instructions, etc. I then "created devices". It created a single device which was off. After finally figuring out and getting an API key, I went back to the config page and put it in and "create devices". No cigar. Pushing the button does nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the plug-in over and over. Deleted the one device. And so forth. Nothing will make it create any devices. What to do?

Here's update. Apparently there was more than just the root device (which I deleted) because we I scrolled down there was like two dozen devices but none had ever been updated. For some reason, the "office" room of the weather devices won't sort with the others of the same room. It must be different somehow. Anyway, I deleted those too and when to the plug-in to recreate devices. It ignores me.

Couple of hints from log. I keep getting this every few minutes:
Jun-06 4:37:59 PM Starting Plug-In Plugin AmbientWeather started successfully in 42 milliseconds
      Jun-06 4:37:59 PM Starting Plug-In Initializing plugin AmbientWeather ...
Jun-06 4:37:59 PM Starting Plug-In AmbientWeather loaded in 15059 milliseconds
Jun-06 4:37:44 PM Info Plugin AmbientWeather has connected. IP:127.0.0.1:59511
Jun-06 4:37:44 PM Warning I/O interface AmbientWeather is down, executable is not running, restarting ...
      Jun-06 4:37:38 PM Z-Wave Device: 1 Foyer Thermostat Relative Humidity Set to 47 (%)
Jun-06 4:37:28 PM Info Plugin AmbientWeather with instance: has disconnected
(Ignore irrelevant entries.) I have no idea. Btw, the Wifi signal is strong and I have no problem using the mobile app.

      Another entry that repeats:
n-06 4:33:28 PM Error Posting back to plugin web page AmbientWeatherConfig: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.-> at System.Runtime.Remoting.Messaging.LogicalCallContext.Propaga teIncomingHeadersToCallContext(IMessage msg) at System.Runtime.Remoting.Proxies.RealProxy.PrivateInvoke(Mess ageData& msgData, Int32 type) at HomeSeerAPI.IPlugInAPI.PostBackProc(String page, String data, String user, Int32 userRights) at Scheduler.proxyPage.postBackProc(StateObject& state, String Data)
Uninstalling the PI doesn't seem to completely uninstall it. Something is messed up and maybe I should start 100% from scratch? Please advise.

Why are you using a LoopBack Address? Describe your ObserverIP configuration settings.

It's a WS-2902B Wifi OSPREY ... which I looked up before buying. Attached is the config page.

And if I'm using a loopback address, it is not intentional! The configuration is pretty generic.

Have you verified the IP of your Observer IP is 10.0.0.138? You may need to reboot your ObserverIP. Can you browse your station at AmbientWeather.com? You are identified at AmbientWeather by your MAC address.

Verified? I'm not sure how. That address pings, plus an "arp -a 10.0.0.138" returns the proper MAC address so I'm pretty sure I have the right IP address. Also, I have zero issue with the app which shows everything okay.

I'm not sure how to sign-in to Ambient Weather.com since it will ONLY allows sign in via Google, Facebook, AOL or Yahoo instead of a normal prompt for username, password or even MAC address. However, I am able to browse my weather station data at ambientweather.NET (not .com) just fine. Again, the phone app works.

I'm not sure what you want me to do with the manual link you provided. Please advise.

Check the manual, starting on page 6-8, at least. I'm getting a little lost, now. Are you saying the data is getting to Ambient and that you can view the data on your phone? Are you not getting devices populated by the PI? Did you restore the root device that was deleted? Can you view your weather station dashboard by browser OK? I don't use any of those sign-ins, I go here:

Is there a way to do a 100% clean install? When I uninstall it via the plug-in manager and then re-install it, it remembers my configuration so I'm guessing it's not 100% clean. Something is messed up.....

                      Okay, recap:
-Ambient console working great; I'm able to ping it; shows strong wifi signal; I think things are good there
-The ambient phone app, works great ... shows all the day you would expect
-Website -- ambientweather.net -- shows my weather station just fine. Here's the link: https://ambientweather.net/dashboard...19bc41313091e2
-Plug-in doesn't work really at all: config page looks fine (I sent you a picture) BUT there are NO devices. When I press "Create Devices" button on the config page, nothing happens. It ignores me or says "Page refreshing..." at the top in orange forever. No devices are created.

There is nothing I can do to create the devices again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the PI. Config page looks fine (as in the picture) but I cannot create devices now that I've deleted them.

Other than checking the log, I think you will need to talk to the author of the PI. When I needed help, he was very responsive.

Let me catch up on this thread (I'll try and do this today) and report back. I have to add in some logging for another user, so it appears i might need to add even more logging. We'll figure it out
