Cannot get initial install to work

I'm still finding time to look into it. This week at work has been in prep for a big release on project I've spent the last 2 years of my life on. I will be on calls over the weekend so as long as things go smoothly (fingers crossed) I should be able to look at it this weekend.

It seems like it might be okay now. I went through directory by directory deleting all files that said "Ambient Weather" and reinstalled. The X to uninstall does _not_ do a clean uninstall.

I got it work. I do have a feature request: the station has current conditions (clear / cloudy). Any way of exposing that as a "device"? Thanks.

I also have had problems getting the Plugin in Homeseer to work. Everything else is working, data is on the website, IP pings, ... please share with me what you did to get it to update the devices in Homeseer.

Basically turned it off in the plug-in manager and removed the plug. Make sure you have not even a single device. Look under Device view, Floor filter for anything out of place.

Shut down HS.

Go through every HS folder and anything that said "AmbientWeather" I prefixed "xx" essentially deleting it.

Restart HS.

Reinstall plug-in. Be careful on the config since it doesn't report errors properly. For example, I originally did it without an API key since I didn't know what they were talking about (poor doc) and it accepted the config. Make sure, by the way, that the API is a user API key not a developer API key.

Thanks for the help thus far. I will try your process today. Did you notice, when you were having problems, that the plugin continues to create duplicate fields? When I went back and looked at the devices after a few days, I had to delete about 500 fields. I haven't touched the create fields button since the install.

So I followed the process being careful to delete any Ambient files in the folders and the plugin, deleted the 87 fields (there were dupes), restarted Homeseer, added the correct API. No luck. Here is the output from the log:

Good news that process worked!😉 Perhaps this could be included in the installation instructions or the uninstall code for the plugin.
