Just noticed I'm seeing this in my log every minute...

I'm seeing this in my log every 1 minute. Any idea how to fix it. Not sure what key I need.

All weather devices are updating normally except for yearly precip.

That's the one piece of data that comes from the WeatherFlow servers and not from your local hub/tempest. You'll get that error if it's not configured properly to access data from the server.

Any idea how to fix it without making me redo all of my associated events as it's an extensive list as well as all of my screens. It looks like something has happened because everything is working but when I go to the config part of the plug-in it doesn't show any config set up at all.

I can only assume based on the lack of corrective advice that I am going to have to wipe out my entire Weatherflow app config and start over, then rebuild all of my HSTouch screens and events if I want the plugin to stop blowing up my logs. There goes an entire weekend.

I guess I wasn't clear. I wanted to know what shows up under the main Tempest device record. I'm trying to understand what state the plug-in is in, then maybe I'll have a suggestion.

Hope things get better with the health issues.

The device record looks correct and good. The config screen should be pulling the data from that to populate it's form. Maybe that and error message is related. I'll look into that.

While the error message is limited to just a couple of lines of code, there are about 6 different places where it uses a key to access dictionary data in those lines so I don't know which is actually failing to narrow it down farther. The station key was the most likely candidate. I'll have to dig a little deeper.

I believe both the error message and the blank configuration are related. Both depend on reading the list of configured stations and this is the results if there are no configured stations.

However, you do have a configured station so why is the list empty. The station list is built when the plug-in starts by looking for the main device records, finding the station id stored there and adding to the list. You have a main device with a station id and the proper device type.

If you stop and restart the plug-in, what shows up in the log? Do you get any error messages at that time?

Code reads from bottom up. Interestingly enough though I restarted Homeseer several times with no change, manually restarting the plugin seems to have added the device back in.
I have not had any log entries since nor is the config missing. Sheesh, I'm and IT guy and I missed "did you try turning it off and then on again?".

If you've restarted homeseer then I suspect a race condition within homeseer.

When the plug-in starts, it's enumerating the homeseer devices looking for the main station device(s) and using those to define it's configuration. If homeseer is starting the plug-in before those devices are available, then the plug-in wouldn't define the configuration but would still function which seemed to be the state yours was in.

There shouldn't be any difference between starting homeseer and manually starting the plug-in. The plug-in is doing the same sequence of steps in both cases. If it is behaving differently, then it's probably a homeseer bug.

Fast forward to 6/3/23

I noticed yesterday my WeatherFlow plugin logging errors on a consistent and frequent basis. I tried stopping and restarting the plugin with no positive outcome. I left it in a stopped condition overnight and waiting until I heard back from WeatherFlow support. They pointed me to this thread if all else failed.

I can provide a copy of the station configuration, but it looks exactly like what codemonkey sent a few years ago, except for the Station ID and Station altitude. I have provided a copy of the log as I started the plugin back up today. Still logging the errors consistently.

Any help would be appreciated.

KC_Chiefs when I make the call that is failing in your logs, it works fine. So it appears to be a problem with making secure https requests from your system. The error is

Request /swd/rest/stations/61602?api_key=6c8c96f9-e561-43dd-b173-5198d8797e0a failed after 5 retries with The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

That leads to the key error every minute. There's nothing the plug-in can do to work around this, you need to figure out why your HomeSeer box can't create SSL/TLS based requests.
