I understand that some problems like the up/down light are issues with the BOND API that you can't do anything about. Also I am not an HS3 plugin programmer so I don't know all the ins and outs of installing vs. disabling and exactly how that is different.

Some of my misunderstanding of your plugin has to do with the plugin not working reliably (getting errors and crashing). My intention was/is to help get your plugin working reliably in the Zee S2 environment which clearly it was not when I started this thread and is still is not working properly.

I mean no disrespect. I am very appreciative of your efforts to make this plugin available and the support you have provided. I only wish to help. I hope you can see that.

I see that you have put the 3.0.0.13 version as a release now. The release 3.0.0.13 still has problems with errors and crashing on my Zee S2. Also the default is to have the "log" on when it comes up (not sure if you were aware of that). To make sure that I was using the release version (assuming it is different), I uninstalled the beta version first. I have attached a log with the errors I am seeing and also the config information and the homeseer info.

Also, there is still the issue of two bridge lights being created (see below) and ZZCC69147.Bridge.light does nothing. I only mention this in hopes it helps you figure out what is going on. Better too much information than not enough:
As I said before, ver 3.0.0.13 was temporary attempt to torubleshoot your issues. And as I said before it was the reason why log is enabled. Ver 3.0.0.13 should be in BETA section, not release, that's HST moved it there.

And as I said before - you should try ver 3.0.0.14 in BETA which should work better on slow machines.

Thank you, I appreciate your input.

And you should realise that the plugin is only two weeks old. And variety of Bond devices is pretty big, so making generic plugin to support them all is a challenge.

I purchased my Zee S2 directly from Homeseer. Yes my Homeseer Controller (Zee S2) is based on a Rasberry PI that Homeseer provides. It is a stock unit. In other words i did not build it myself. I have not had any problem with speed or responsiveness using Google or Alexa or using scene control (multi-tap on switches). It has been in operation for over a year now without any issues.

I have attached a log of the start up and resulting errors:

It loks like ver 3.0.0.14? I'll make another fix now and post updated version

Believe me when I say that I understand what it is like to develop software that depends on third party hardware. Been there and done that most of my career. I only want to help in any way I can. Although I know little to nothing about HS3 plugins I am an electrical engineer that developed hardware and software products. I only say that to let you know that I am technically competent, not to presume that I know how to direct your efforts.

You articulate well CJMH and don't come across as disrespectful or ungrateful. I have a similar background to you (work), however, I have found the learning curve with HS challenging, but very rewarding!

Alex will help you through mate!

Ver. 3.0.0.15 in BETA, please test. If you keep getting 'ReceiveFailure' errors - it's a separate communication issue and need separate troubleshooting.

I am still getting the receive failure nearly or perhaps every time I click the "Toggle Fan Power" button, but the action still works as if there was no error. In other words the Bond App shows the changed status. I also changed the polling period to 4 seconds, but that did not help.

So there's some communication issue. Is it possible you Bond Bridge is too far from the router?

I can add some comms re-try before it logs an error, wait a sec.

And just so you know the two bridge light child devices in the Bond hub device are back (see below). Is there any possibility that the receive failure is coming from the non-functional ZZCC69147.Bridge.Light child device?

In case you don't know how, so to Tools -> Setup -> Custom and enable "Show Device Reference Number on Device Management Page"

The bond bridge is about 20 feet from the router with no walls in between. The router has no problems communicating with a google mini that is about 30 feet away on a different floor with several walls in between.
