    WRG800X Measurement Units

    Hi All,

Recently purchased a Oregon WRG800X for use with Homeseer via RFXCOM.

Works very well, but shows the measurement in m/sec. For example: 1.1m/Sec :1 bft

Is there a way to change it to mph?

Deselect use metric system on the RFXCOM - General config page.
On the RFXCOM tab of the device you can enter a value to divide and the suffic to be used. With these parameters you can change it to any other.

Thanks for getting back to me.

So if I deselect Use Metric, the value displayed is then in mph and all I need to do is change the suffix? Or do I need to divide also to get mph?

Deselect Use metric and restart the plug-in.
I'm not sure if you need to delete and add the device again.
See chapter 4 in the RFXCOM HS3 User Guide.

Many thanks for that. It seems to switch fine, but then I realised it would then switch my rain sensor to inches rather than mm.

We're a little weird in the UK. We measure our rain in mm, but winds are still in mph. Would be nice to have the option to use metric per device, rather than over the whole plugin.

          Thank you.

In that case you have to find out which divide value must be used for the rain sensor, I guess divide by 25.4 and use the suffix mm

Thanks very much, I shall give that a try.
