But something seems wrong with my device or the driver I am using. I installed the drivers from the setup EXE file first, then connected my 433XL to USB 2.0 port. Here is what I see on my PC in device manager:
The USB driver install guide shows a screenshot, before drivers are installed, and the device looks different:
I attempted to perform the manual driver update steps, I downloaded the 2.12.28 Windows 10 x86 drivers, right clicked the Unknown USB device, browsed to the location of the extracted contents, but Windows simply says "the best drivers for your device are already installed".. I have tried the "have disk" method, browsed to the ftdibus.inf file, and tried selecting the USB Serial Converter driver from the list, the driver installed, but the device does not work:
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is this device I bought from eBay maybe just defective?
