Wiring Tstats..

Ok, I've read alot about controlling tstats, daisy chaining RS232, etc. I'm ready to go and purchased a RC80B tstat. My problem is that the HAI wiring instructions only detail how to connect to an OMNI panel and not a PC. It states "for connections to a person computer, utility management systems and other automation systems, refer to connection diagrams provided with personal computer software". I know the connection will be RS232 but I dont have a wiring diagram for the 4pin HAI connection to DB9 RS232.

Can anyone help?? Sorry this seems like such a stupid question. I couldn't find any information on the HAI site as well..

4 pin to rs 232

from my previous post:

I have 2 rc 100 in parallel running like this:
on the pc side (db9) jumper pins 7and 8 then jumper pins 1,4 and 6 then from my thermostat red wire to pin 2, green to pin 3, yellow to pin 4 and black to pin 5. I had to reboot and let it run for a while before the data apeared on homeseer and I still get timeouts in the log once in awhile but thats how they are hooked up and working.

ps dont use a usb to serial converter they don't seem to like it.

You say you are getting occasional timeouts. What is your polling interval?

actually I upgraded my homeseer machine from an old pos win98 machine to an xp 1800+ running win2000 server and my problems went away.
