    UPB Appliance Module

I bought the SA demo package. It comes with a UPB switch, appliance module, lamp module and table top controller. Seems like a good deal. However, cant get the appliance module and the table top controller to be recognized by Upstart. The devices seem to work from the table top controller. However, upstart shows the device as having a problem. (Red Triangle pointing up). Communication is alright (blue triangle pointing down). Tried to put the appliance module in setup mode. The green LED on the side truns yellow and flashes. However no luck in upstart. It can't find any device in setup mode. Any ideas ? I don't want to give up without exhausting all options. Thanks

Strange that the devices would work with the tabletop controller because they are usually not configured from the factory for a network ID, or they have the same device ID.

Have you tried the PIM and only one module plugged in? Have you tried plugging the module into the same outlet as the PIM?

      SA Demo Kit

      George,

The LED on the appliance module should be flashing green to get it into set up mode. If it is flashing yellow (amber or orange to some) the unit is in a manual mode not set up mode. Manual mode is entered by holding the button down until the LED flashes. Set up mode is entered by pressing the button 5 times.

The demo package is set up so it will work together out of the box. All devices are on the same UPB network and have Links programmed to demonstrate the ability to control the devices via their only common connection, the power line.

The table top is put into set up mode by holding buttons 1 and 8 (E and L) until all LEDs flash.
