    Ignoring 'Fast On'

Does anyone know if there is a way to tell an Insteon switch to ignore it's own 'Fast On' command?

I have a switch that is controlling a load (ceiling light), and I want to also use that switch as a controller to turn on a lamp. I can create an event in Homeseer with 'Fast On' as a trigger, so that when I double-tap the switch the lamp goes on, and I can create a second event to toggle the lamp off again, if it is already on. It's pretty neat, and it works perfectly.

The only problem is that when I hit 'Fast On' on the switch, the ceiling light (obviously) comes on as well as the lamp turning on. I'd like to use the double-tap to mean ONLY turn on the lamp - which means I need to get the switch to ignore its own Fast On command.

I know I can program the event to turn off the ceiling light, but I'd prefer not to have to do that.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think this is possible based on my review of the insteon documentation i have, but have you checked on the smarthome forum
