    Warning Messages

I'm getting periodic messages in the log like these (and no, I was not up at 4:39am).

2/28/2011 4:39:48 AM - UltraGCIR Warning - IR command to GC-100-12 [172.16.13.237] returned error: Command sent to the unit is not supported by the GC-100.

This type of messages also appear. Seems to reconnect but don't understand why it needs to.

2/28/2011 5:09:18 AM - UltraGCIR Warning - Watchdog Timer indicates TCP connection to Global Cache device [172.16.13.237] was lost.. Attempting to reconnect ...
    2/28/2011 5:09:18 AM - UltraGCIR Info - Ethernet connection established to 172.16.13.237:4998
2/28/2011 5:09:18 AM - UltraGCIR Info - Watchdog Timer reconnect attempt succeeded.

Just to add to the above issue, I have two GC units. I have the 100-12 and an ip2ir. All of the messages in the log relate to the 100-12.

The first warning you posted indicates something within your system attempted to control the HomeSeer device associated with the Global Cache IR device. The command was rejected because it wasn't a type supported by the plug-in (e.g. device value change).

The second warning you posted indicates the UltraGCIR lost the TCP connection and attempted to reestablish it. The UltraGCIR HSPI maintains a persistent TCP connection to ensure no lag occurs when sending IR commands. On occasion, the UltraGCIR HSPI will lose connection to the Global Cache device. I worked with Global Cache on this issue and we were never able to determine the root cause. Even the test program they sent my showed the Global Cache device couldn't keep a TCP connection active.

Thanks for the reply. Strange thing is that I get alot of these messages (day and night) without me sending anything to the unit. I've even changed the ip address but the messages continue. Any idea how I can go about trouble shooting this?
