    W800 USB problem

Everytime my computer restarts the ACRF plugin will not see my W800USB. In fact an error occurs in the log that says that it couldn't communicate with it. However, if I then shut down homeseer, disconnect my W800USB from the computer and then plug it back in, restarting homeseer, everything works normally. I am running Window 7 64-bit. Anyone else run into this issue? It's just a pain to have to unplug the thing every time I turn my computer on. I usually leave it on most of the time anyway but I would like homeseer and everything else to run smoothly automatically when my computer restarts.

Do you have it plugged directly into the computer or into a hub?

Mine is in a hub and I had to use a powered hub but in my case occasionally after a week or so it seems to stop communication with some of the temp sensors till HS is restarted then it is fine for a while.
Guess in my case I need to set up some kind of restart or reboot periodically to handle that.

I have mine connected directly into the computer. Once I'm connected it won't disconnect at all. It's only when the computer is restarted that I have to unplug the w800usb to get my computer to recognize it again. I've looked and I haven't seen anyone else complain about this. I wonder if I'm the only one.

I have no experience with the W800 USB, but I have one of my W800s connected through a USB-serial converter. Mine is plugged into a powered hub. I have never had a problem with the link.

Do you have other USB devices that are working properly with HS? What happens if you swap USB ports? Do you have an external power supply attached to the W800?

You could try plugging the W800 into a powered USB hub to see if that helps.
