    Changing icon on a device...

I would like to know if there a way to change the icon on a device without using a plugin. I know blade has one but I would like to change it manually. I Also would like to know the pro and cons by doing this. I don't like the icon on the motion sensor devices (which is a light bulb) I think a ligth bulb is for ligths not for a MS.

    Thanks in advance..
    Hector

Check this out in the help files,
      Stuart

      Edit Value-Status/Graphic Pairs

Click this button to edit the text strings and graphics that are associated with values for a device. A device may have many values assigned to it, and each value may have a corresponding graphic or text string. The graphic or text string will be displayed in the Status screen when its corresponding value is set for the device.

This feature is only available in ProSEER. Go to the HomeSeer website for more information on ProSEER.

                  Try iconifier:

What do you enter in the Graphics File section? The local filename? With/without path? Where are the images stored - I don't see them in the HSPro main directory.

I tried your program, and it all works, but here is my question. For some reason I got an error on 2 of my codes which I sort of fixed. but when I corrected it I can't change the graphic on the 2 switches. Enclosed are pictures of the 2 switches. For some reason on one of the switches it shows up as OFF in the string section. How can I change it back to the original setting set up in Homeseer? Also, how do I get rid of Off in the String section.

                          Thanks,
                          Steve

If you set the device string to null, then HS will start to display the normal on/off strings and graphics. I have a manual event that runs an immediate script statement and then change the device code as needed.
