All TTS phrases spoken twice - Solved!

I do not have any other proxy installed, but BLSpeech is now saying every phrase twice. I had my speakers disconnected for the past year, after having moved some equipment. Now that it is all connected again, all announcements are coming twice. My guess is that some update during the past year broke things. I found the following thread with a similar problem, but it did not help any: http://forums.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=141313

If I click the unregister button for BLSpeech under the options tab, the problem goes away. Restarts and the usual tricks don't help.

    Setup is:
    Windows 7 SP1
    HS Pro 2.5.0.80
    Blspeech 1.0.43.0

    Ideas?

I will post back if I find anything else.

Actually, I did find another speech proxy. I did not realize that DLNA Manager had an enabled proxy as well. Disabling that fixed it. I will leave the thread here in case someone else trips up on this.

How do you search to see if you have another speech proxy enabled?

You can't search but if you have another plugin that is Sound or Speech based it could be a speech proxy.

I know this is an old thread but I am also having the same issue of things being spoken twice. I have disabled all plugins and created an event from scratch and it happens every time whether I run event manually or not. So I don't believe it is a PI acting as speech proxy or a corrupt event.

            Which PIs do you use?
Can you post a screenshot of that event

The only plugins I have at the moment are HSTouch and Z-Wave. I get the double speak on all speaks that I know of. I can get the specifics when I get on that machine again but even just firing up HS3 with Speaker client enabled it says "Speak: Welcome to Home-Seer" twice so no external PI's or events.

                What OS are you using?
-> Windows? Any change made to the startup.vb file
-> Linux? Any changes made to speech.sh?

Have you tried it with HSTouch disabled?

I am on Windows 10 with latest upgrades but it was happening before those. I am using x.435 of HS and I have not changed the start up script. I pointed to the start up text being said twice on startup more for reference that it happens all the time and not because of an event I created. I did try HSTouch disabled as well and it still does it.

I also have some issues (noted in another thread) with the Speech client not accepting commands from my Android device consistently and am beginning to wonder if the two are related somehow. Maybe the issue is more OS/driver related somehow.
