Logitech web service response does not contain a login authorization token

I've downloaded the Harmony Hub plugin trial. This plugin will be really helpful for me. However, I see the following error in the log:

FAILUREERROR : harmonyWebServiceLogin : Logitech web service response does not contain a login authorization token-

I checked the "hspi_HarmonyHub.ini". my password is encrypted. (there is no "HarmonyHub.ini")

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks,

    Tim Marks

    AVG was interfering

After further investigation, I discovered that the AVG anti-virus was blocking communications to the harmony hub.
I still don't fully understand, because re-enabling AVG now does not block the communications.

I discovered this by using the underlying library Rein leveraged for his plugin.

Anyway, homeseer is now communicating with my harmony hub.

Can you please let me know how you've solve this?

        The EventLog will only say:

        Code:

I have the following settings in my Hub:
        userid: (my e-mailaddress)
        password: (my password)
IP address: 192.168.0.13 (the ip address of the Hub, found in my switch)
name: Woonkamer (is this important for the connection to the Hub?)
room: Woonkamer (is this important for the connection to the Hub?)
floor: Not Set (is this important for the connection to the Hub?)

          Hi,

only the userid and password is important and used for authentication. The other settings are for creating the devices properly.

I don't know what might cause this, please sent me an email to the adres listed in the documentation with your HS log file and we'll figure out what is causing this.

Must be simple, but now 2 people have thew same problem it might be a bug...

          Thanks,

I did uninstall my antivirus and disable the firewall to be sure it was not an issue with it, got the same result:

I tried it many times last 5 minutes and I only get this message when I use the wrong userid or password.

I even created an new harmony account and this works too.

So be a 100 % sure, that the userid and password are correct (both are case sensitive !!!) or try and create a new account.

                        AVG Antivirus causing token error

                        Hi everyone,

I too encountered this error and was able to get things working by temporarily disabling AVG (i.e., disabling AVG, then conducting the device and activities scans). Thanks to everyone for your help (esp. TimMarks)!

                          Hi,
I discovered exactly the same problem and disabled AVG and rescanned my devices enabled AVG again and then scanned the activities. Works!

                            login authorization token

                            I'm getting this error...

FAILURE ERROR : harmonyWebServiceLogin : Logitech web service response does not contain a login authorization token -

I don't have antivirus enabled and have allowed both homeseer & harmony plugin in the firewall.

I've changed password for myHarmony but still same error.

                            anyone got any ideas please?

Logitech changed the authorization process :-(

Because existing users have a authorization toke file on their system already, they are not affected.

I am looking for a solution to directly query the hub, without cloud authorization.

                              Stay tuned.
