Does anyone have an ETA on when this will work with the SEL?

I plan to have the Nest plugin running on Linux before end of the year, maybe sooner if there is a lot of demand

There's demand! You'll have my money if you get it done!

Good news, I have tested the attached version of the Nest plugin on Linux Ubuntu 14.04 and it works well
It should work with any Linux flavor, but you need to make sure you have mono version 3.x or later installed.

        To check type:

        Code:
        mono --version
Let me know if you have any problem

Yes it does! I'll let this run for a few days and let you know if I see any errors!

Hi, I am thinking of starting my home automation system with a Hometroller SEL, but I am not sure if I want to use the Nest tstat, but I really like the Nest Protect since it is both hard wired and has a battery backup. Can this plugin be used just with the Nest Protect devices, but also be set to shutdown a different wave tstat via the Hometroller SEL? Thanks.

yes you can use the Nest plugin to just monitor your Nest protect, and then use another plugin (Zwave, Insteon, etc...) to control your thermostat.
