I still have the same issue on linux standard as reported here: http://board.homeseer.com/showpost.p...3&postcount=10

Thru android voice or alexa skill, it seems the voice is getting into homeseer but it doesn't nothing with it later.

    Code:
Recognized phrase from device: turn on kitchen lights
    Raw:turn on kitchen lights
Recognized phrase from device: turn on kitchen lights
    Raw:turn on kitchen lights
Recognized phrase from device: turn on store room light
    Raw:turn on store room light

I just updated to .243 (on Windows), and speaking "Alexa, tell HomeSeer to turn on the kitchen overhead light" results in Alexa parsing this:

"tell homeseer to turn on the kitchen overhead light"

And the HS3 log file shows:

Feb-20 2:54:10 PM TTS Speak (json:
Feb-20 2:54:10 PM TTS Speak (json:turn on the kitchen overhead light
Feb-20 2:54:10 PM Warning In Recognize, could not access DeviceList (Index=0, V=)

      Any suggestions?

Does this happen for every device you attempt to control?

No, in other cases I get this HS log:

          Speak (json:

And Alexa says "that device was not found".

Do you have the Voice command: checked for your devices?

I finally found some time to upgrade and test this and have a couple questions:

I am seeing this error at startup:
2/21/2016 7:55:19 AM ~!~HSTouch ServerWarning~!~HSTouch had an Error retrieving the capabilities for a media plugin with Error = The method or operation is not implemented.Service Version: NO_VERSION

              What does this mean?

Also this issue has been there since I can remember and its more an annoyance than anything else. I install HS in a different location vs the default (long story, mainly scripts are looking at things in a certain place), when I change the location on the install to point to where I have it, it still installs in the default location, no matter what is stated in the installer.

I will start working today hopefully on testing the new echo stuff and give feedback.

Thanks Rich again for the Release Notes and working on these builds so quickly.

In my case the web scraper plugin seams to be causing this message. If I disable it and restart the HSTouch server I don't see it.

Still getting the Speech error: 2/21/2016 1:36:44 PM:Error initializing voice recognition, maybe not installed?: Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004503A 2/21/2016 1:36:45 PM:Connected 2/21/2016 1:36:45 PM:Error loading grammar file C:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3\Grammar\Grammar_server#Default_Final.xml : Object reference not set to an instance of an object. What hardware are you running HS3 on? If you go the the Speech Recognition control panel applet does the Text to Speech work there?

Aha. Doesn't explain the initial error, but things seem to be working now, at least from a JSON standpoint (left yesterday for a business trip, so I tested last night via an android Automate flow and it worked, according to the logs.

I have been testing this and I am getting the same tag in the logs that Shill stated and Alexa stating device not found. Right now I only have 3 devices checked and only using those for testing.

I thought I remember somewhere that we could debug this to see what Alexa thought we said? When it works, I see the full command in HS logs, but when it doesn't it's just JSON.

I am pretty sure its my setup somewhere that is causing issues, but I can't find the info to troubleshoot it.

Go into your Alexa app on your mobile device or on the web, then to settings, then to History. There you will see what Alexa heard you say.

                            Thanks Rich,
I think i see part of the problem, when I say homeseer, it is thinking I am say home siri. This would explain possibly the randomness I am getting with the same light.

I am assuming there is no way to change the call word in the current skill? Appears I am not saying homeseer properly all the time .

That does not make any sense. The detection of the wake phrase "Alexa tell homeseer to", is done by Amazon and that part will not show up in the history.

Did you enable the HS skill? Are you saying "Alexa tell homeseer to". Note that the "to" is very important.
