Ever since I installed the Dot, (now I have Dot and echo) I am having problems with a particular devices that always worked now it doesn't. I didn't change anything in the HS side, I have removed device from Alexa app and re discovered it and it still doesn't work, it says "I can't find the answer to that question" when I ask to turn on that device.

I have a weird issue for the last 1 week.
Things that worked no longer work now.
I mostly noticed this issue for simple and single worded devices. E.g: 'Cold'
She gives me a "double-ding" when I say "Turn on Cold". As opposed to
"I can't find the device...blah blah blah". So something weird is happening.
Renaming it to more complex or multi worded device seems to fix the issue.
Did any recent amazon echo update break things that used to work before?
It does not seem to be a homeseer issue since even when adding a group name for the device via the echo app has the same effects.
Edit:
I did purchase 2 echo dots. But I have not installed them yet since they just arrived.
But amazon has already added the 2 echo dots to my account as I can see them on the alexa app.
Wonder if this is the issue here?

My problem is when I ask echo to "turn on Anna location" (which is a virtual device to trigger a event) for some reason it searches this request in Bing.
All other devices to turn on and off just fine, I don't understand what's going on. I did a test creating a virtual device name "test"and tested thru echo and it switched the device on and off.Hector

I can't seem to pair Alexa with HomeSeer via the Skill or the API any longer.
It pairs, just doesn't discover any devices for API. For skill, while I've linked and unlinked...and linked again in the app...after waiting 10 hours, it still says I don't have the skill enabled when using voice control.

I would avoid the word location. I also have found turn x on works better than turn on x (at least for me). You could try the phrase turn anna location on and see what happens, then you can try changing the device to just Anna - though the phrase Echo turn Anna on, may cause Alexa to play Berry White.
