    homeseer not in sudo file

    Hi There
I was hoping someone could guide me in the right direction. I have a hometroller Zee S2 and tried to install and configure a usb wireless adaptor. I'm trying to restart some services but the homeseer default account is not in the sudo group. I wondered if there was another way apart from accessing the /etc/shadow file within the Linux image file?

    appreciate any help or advice.

Welcome to the Homeseer forum netnoustech.

I am thinking default RPi2 username (username=pi password = raspberry) is already in sudoers group such that you would ssh via username pi and do

    sudo usermod -a -G sudo <username>

Here also created a root password and configured root access to work via SSH.

Nevermind. I only ran the original Zee-2 image once and I am thinking that it was the homeseer user that I used at the time.

I redid my RPi2 from scratch. I am thinking there is a homeseer user in the sudoer list so login as homeseer.

Check whatever user you are using with the GUI. I am guessing that user in in the sudoer list. Use that user in sudoer mode to do the rest of the stuff.
