    ZWave not finding to devices

    I have a new HS3 ZEE S2 Edition 3.0.0.297

I have a few in wall ZWave switches as well as numerous wall plug in ZWave units.

I followed the directions several times and am not able to connect any of the devices. These were working on the PC version of HS with an external ZWave box.

I also tried the Z-Tool on the iPhone but that doesnt seem to make a difference.

    Basically the screen shows
    Add node started
Activate the add to network function....

    etc

I even tried putting one of the plug in modules a few feet away from the hometroller with no luck.

Was I supposed to get another piece of hardware? I thought the Home Troller was integrated with the ZWave box?

If you are moving to a brand new system, did you exclude the nodes first?

You *may* be able to backup your old interface and restore it to your new. I have had limited success with this, but I have never tried to move from a PC to the Zee. It should work, however.

No I didnt exclude them first. The PC died and that why I moved to the Hometroller.

Shouldnt they be able to register as new devices? seems odd that they would be stuck on a on system

No - you will have to exclude them each, and then re-add them.

just like the include option, there is a exclude option in the drop down list, do that first, then include the node.

            good luck.

Sorry I had no idea each node remember their last connections like that. They were unplugged for a long time.

My understanding is a node will remember its HomeID and NodeID indefinitely until you do an exclude process on the node which wipes out this info.
That is why even sometimes brand new devices will need an exclude first then they can be included.

I am not sure how your adventure will go going from PC to a Zee, I am going the opposite way, Zee to PC.

                good luck.
