    HS3 Insteon Plug-In Version 3.0.6.49 Beta (Win & Linux)..In Beta section of Updater7

Next beta cycle. As always make a backup of your insteon.ini and homeseer database before upgrading.

    Changes:
    - Added sorting feature to Device Manage page. Click column heading once for asc sort, click again for desc sort. Currently, your sort option will not persist between plugin restarts. (3.0.6.4)

    - Revised ini management routines. The insteon.ini will be re-saved about 3 seconds after any required changes (comm stats, polling results, or config changes) (3.0.6.18)
    - Device value set to -1 (Unknown) if polling fails (3.0.6.23)
    - Changed the default value for the Hub setting GetXMLBufferInterval=2000 (3.0.6.24)

    - Revised MS II timeout option list (3.0.6.27)
    - Hub.GetBuffer routine won't generate report log files on exceptions; now logs a Normal msg (3.0.6.25, 3.0.6.28)

    - Linux dimmer image reference (3.0.6.43)

Please post any issues with this beta to this thread.

    Notes:
    1. You will need to either manually change the slider definition by changing the max value from 99 to 100 or add RecreateDevices=1 to the [config] section of the insteon.ini and restart the plugin.
    2. add FailedPollThreshold=0 to the [config] section of the insteon.ini to continue to poll devices that do not respond. The default value is 2. Change the setting as required. (3.0.6.11)
    3. Starting with 3.0.6.17, I have incorporated my own ini file management routines in an effort to avoid losing the insteon.ini file when HS3 crashes or terminates unexpectedly. The ini file will get reordered/sorted by section and key when its saved but nothing should get lost. (3.0.6.17)

Mark, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the sorting feature. I just replaced my PLM yesterday and with 119 devices I was wishing there was a sort feature to simplify the clean-up job - really just yesterday. I wish I had waited one more day...

Mark, It seems that the Alert Module 2867-222 has been updated with a new model 2868-222 and appears to be much different will you be adding the new replacement model to the new Beta Cycle? As I experienced the 2867 1st gen model had issues with staying connected to HS.

Yes. Once, I get my hands on a siren, I will add support. There is another thread on this subject if you would like to subscribe:

Custom device names missing from sub device list?

Not sure if this is related to the beta but throwing it out there. Was getting unexpected behavior from one of my KPLs (button was supposed to turn off the LEDs on other buttons but wouldn't - except for one button on another KPL where it would...) so I tried out the beta.

I also changed a KPL from 6 button to 8 button mode. So this could have happened from either of these situations. Whichever it was (or just coincidence), I no longer have custom device names shown in my insteon groups under sub device. I'm not crazy, right? I've only been using the plugin for a few days so who knows what havoc I'm unwittingly wreaking, but I swear the names were there one second and gone the next. I have custom device names but the sub devices are now listed as their defaults only.

I uninstalled and went back to a previous version but no dice. Did I muck up my database? Derp.

can you restore a good insteon.ini and a homeseer database from a few days ago.

if you started with v3.0.6.0, I would stick with that.

I think for group programming, what you see is correct.

you should see your custom names on the device manage page

                    X-10 stopped with .6.8

                    mark,
After updating to 3.0.6.8, my X10 stopped working, the signal seemed to be sent, but the devices would not operate.
I reinstalled 3.0.6.6, and they are working now.

can you post a pick on the Status Graphics tab of one of your x10 devices.

if you have a detailed log of the transaction that didn't work, please post that too

The log shows the proper Wording (Device Control Device: Main Floor Garage Garage Inside Light IX to On (100) by/from: CAPI Control Handler) and I used an XTBM Pro X10 Signal Analyzer, and the signal was processing, but in HS3, after appling the "On" button, it would not turn on. The log shows the event ran, but the graphic would not change, and the switch would not turn on. I then replaced the .exe and .dll files of the 3.0.6.8 version, and reinstalled the .exe and .dll files of 3.0.6.6, re enabled the plugin and all worked.

                          Hi,

Re: Siren, I realized I posted feedback in the wrong thread after you asked us to post here.

As I posted in the other thread, I cannot achieve only 1 'ding dong' via group control. I realize the seconds don't necessarily mean seconds, but I can achieve only 1 'ding dong' via direct control. In both cases, I have 1 sec. selected for the duration, in the group, and in the device settings, respectively.

Is there any way to adjust the group setting so that it matches that of the device setting?

                          Thanks

the settings match with one exception:. in the group settings, you can specific a delay. this isn't possible for the device settings

if this isn't what you are referring to, please post screen shots of the differences.

thanks for testing and providing feedback
