    Thinking about getting gcir

I am thinking about getting an itach IR device to control my new fireplace and TV. Can this plug-in and the global cache device send two signals at once.? The fireplace requires that you push two buttons at the same time to start it.

Also can you use the JSON api with this plug-in? I have a custom ui that I use to control Homeseer.

The iTach has three outputs so in theory you can. Not sure if the plug-in will actually send both commands simultaneously, that will be for Ultra to answer.

JSON can be used to control any device in HS. As IR devices (with UltraGCIR) are represented as devices that should be possible.

The global cache also can learn IR codes by pointing your remote control at this little holes in the back of the IP2IR unit.

It might be possible to learn this code by using the learn mode and pushing both buttons at once as if you were sending the codes to your fireplace

My plug-in cannot send two codes at once. It a limitation of the hardware. You may want to reach out to the fireplace vendor to see if they can provide the combined IR code in HEX.

It's very possible that the remote requires two buttons for safety (to prevent accidental on) but only sends one IR code.
