    IPAddress is not correct

i have a question, in the plugin are 2 hue bridges registred
Registered to Philips hue at 192.168.1.13

    Registered to woonkamer at 192.168.1.204

    these are correct
    but:
jan-07 13:12:11 JowiHue Error: (BridgeFound)e objectverwijzing is niet op een exemplaar van een object ingesteld.
jan-07 13:12:11 JowiHue Warning: Bridge Philips hue changed IP from 192.168.1.174 to 192.168.1.174:8123

this ip is my synology nas with a ha bridge on it
    why this error?

    No clue why.

What is this "ha bridge" doing? I guess it presents itself the same way as a Philips Hue in UPNP, that might be confusing the plugin.
Do you have some more details for me on this "ha bridge" as I do not know what it is here?

    Thanks,

    Wim

      Wim,

The ha-bridge emulates Philips Hue lights so that they can used/discovered by the Amazon Echo for voice control of various Home Automation systems. It is being used in Homeseer as it bypasses the use of myHomeseer accounts and/or because the official Homeseer skill is not available outside the USA.

        Jon,

Thanks for pointing this out. So this emulates a Hue bridge. Sounds like the plugin is correct recognising this as a bridge then?

Yes, the Echo recognises a Hue bridge for voice control via its smart skills interface. The ha-bridge mimics the Hue bridge (to trick the Echo) so that it can be used for HA use. Your plugin will therefore see it as a second bridge on the network.

Then the trick works for the plugin as well ... I will try to find if I could recognise the trick as being a trick... and then ignore this emulated bridge. Not sure yet if that is possible. Akatars post is showing a port 8123 in the log. Is this always the same port? Because then I think I could filter on the port as non Philips?

You can set the port to anything you like on the ha-bridge unfortunately.

Then all I can do is filter on non 80 ports, but there might be some misses then.

most of the things are already said
perhaps just a "ignore bridge with ip adress xxx" button?

I have installed the ha bridge here to test and found a way where I could recognise the emulated bridge.

Is there anyone using a ha-bridge willing to test this as beta? I will test a bit more here, but it would feel goood if someone joins while actually using the functions of this ha-bridge.
