I'm using tasker to send my position but I have 2 problems:
I use a lot of train, underground, bus and my position is usually inside building with no gps signal...
I'm testing the Autolocation tasker plugin that use the nwe API position (FUSE).
Testing that seems to have a very high precision with no battery drain. New API use wifi+gps+cell to determinate the position.
If I open google maps in a few seconds I can see my position (new API with fuse)
If I tray to use only gps (and if I'm not in open space) I need a long time to find the position (battery drain)
If I tray to use Net (and for example I'm moving) the position is not accurate...
So, my firsts tests, with autolocation plugin solution are very good.
I need to play with tasker plugin and PHlocation plugin but seems to be a good solution for high precision position tracker.
Paul, have you already tested autolocation plugin?
There are a lot of variables that describe if you are driving, walking, running... the direction...
