PHlocation stopped working a week ago

I have deleted both accounts, upgraded from 53 to the latest and added accounts back in. I'm not using 2 factor authentication.

However all I ever get in the logs is this or variants.

Feb-14 14:01:22 PHLocation Error (handleICL) from: 3872 msg: (Authenticate) General Error O for : trevor@sawbrook.co.uk : System.NotSupportedException: The requested security protocol is not supported. at System.Net.ServicePointManager.set_SecurityProtocol(Security ProtocolType value) at h.d.e(String A_0, String A_1, String A_2, Boolean A_3) at h.d.h()

Apple changed their security around February 7. There is a new version 3.0.1.83 that will fix the problem.

Download from the link in the first post

If you are already running the newest version, then you have another problem.

Makes sense as that is when it stopped. However I am running that version as of today, even after deleting PHlocation and rebooting.

.83 solved it for the rest of us. You may have stored cookies. I think Reset Account under each iCloud account will clear them.

If that doesn't do it you may need to enable logging and capture what's happening at startup. Since it will have personal information, don't post. You can send it to Paul in an email. His email is under Contact on the download page.

Thanks, I have tried resetting, but this time I deleted everything with phlocation in before a reboot and supposedly clean install, at which point my account came up, and still not working and still same error. I'll email Paul, my house doesn't function without this help, lol.

I wish I could offer more help, but I'll have to defer to Paul for further troubleshooting. Debug level 1 should be adequate and you want to capture logs just after the plug-in is restarted.

I've turned debug level one on, but where do the logs go? Into the normal log files or a dedicated phlocation log. I can't see any difference with the phlocation logs. I've also turned on the much hated 2FA and the error messages don't change.

And appreciate the help so far

The logging is just in the HomeSeer log. There should be a lot more detail at level 1 than with it off.

That's interesting, as it doesn't look any different. But I've sent it all over to Paul so fingers crossed I've just got a simple file to remove. My guess is that it is holding onto the old way of authenticating or the new way has not registered somehow.

How old fashioned I'm going to have to get my phone out to open the door AND tell imperihome I'm in

I got the same errors - sent my logs to Paul a couple of days ago.
Any chance you're running on Linux as well?

I've just sent my level 2 logs.

But no, I'm on Windows Server 2008R2.

It appears that iCloud support in the latest version (3.0.1.83) will not work on Linux systems.

I'm investigating the issue to see if I can come up with a solution but not being a Linux / mono guru, I can't give a timescale on this.

The issue that Trevor is seeing is not related and I'm currently investigating that separately.

                        Paul..
