I broke my 'Global Variables' !

[If there's a more appropriate forum for this, please say so.]

So, yes, it seems like I broke the global variables part of my HomeTroller. Some details:
HomeSeer Version: HS3 ZEE S2 Edition 3.0.0.297
Linux version: Linux HomeTrollerZeeS2V2 4.1.19-v7+ #858

It was my first attempt is this department. On the 'Global Variables' page, I created a variable; then, when I tried to delete it, I got a page full of code. (It looks like some kind of markup -- XML?) Here is a bit:
["Slide_GlobalVars_content","

<td class='tablecolumn'

I've tried several more times to delete it -- same result.
And, when I try to create another variable, I get the same thing.

So, is there some way to erase or reset the variables?

Furthermore, why did this happen? Will it happen again?

Global variables are not persistent so a restart will clear them. They are created by plug-ins or scripts and will remain until a restart. If you create one manually, it will not remain.

That is stated at the bottom of the page.

Did you put any sort of special character in the data or the variable name (I'm thinking like a HTML type character </> etc)? It is almost like it has got a bit of confused and is putting the page data in the wrong place.

I was expecting a 'proper' way of doing that -- like an 'immediate script command'. My view is that Linux systems are meant to stay up, and that rebooting is for Windows.

And, yes, a reboot fixed it.

I did put in 2 underlines. Maybe that did it?
