    Skill/API for Germany?

    Hi,

This was already asked a few times in other threads but has never been answered:

Will there be an official skill & API integration for the German Echos as well? I am aware of the skill workaround and I'm using it right now, but it's especially the API integration that I'd like to see... I am aware that a lot of responses are hardcoded in english and would be a pain in the proverbial to localize, but trust me: even if Alexa sometimes responds in english (with German pronounciation - extremely funny!) we'd all prefer to have something instead of nothing at all.

Are there any plans and time frames yet?

    Thanks,
    Alex

At this time there are no plans for releasing a german version of the official skill.

        Hi Wade,

Like I said I don't expect a "German version" any time soon. It would just be very beneficial to have the English skill & API available for German Echos. That can't bee so difficult?

        Regards,
        Alex

          Hi,
I'm just coming from a friend, who uses IPSYNCOM for his home automation.
He has running ALEXA successfully with this software and it
          is in German language.
Would'nt this also be running for HomeSeer ?

I have it running too with the dev skill & ha-bridge, but it's a clunky workaround. I'm really missing the direct API integration.

            Cheers,
            Alex

No further comment on making the (english) skill & API integration available for Germany?

              Cheers,
              Alex

I hope there wil be a German skill soon. It can't be so hard to make one if you have done it already for the US and UK. Is it?

Or an explination how to make the skin so we kan make it our own skill.

A lot of German people wil be happy.

I think having a german alexa skill requires that homeseer understands german voice commands - and that might be the big challenge :-)

                    Just an idea:

Why don't you just use my Alexa skill helper. I'm sure you can create triggers in German for that.
