    Too much overhead for Zee2?

I was logged on to my Zee 2 when my wife happened to go out the back door. The screen immediately noted that the back door was "not secure." Perfect.

However, the Zee 2 would not respond to any command for about a minute. For example, I could not go to "manage plugins" or switch a light on or off. It this normal or is the HAI panel sharing more data than the Zee2 can handle comfortably?

Let's see what others have to say but I haven't heard that yet on all the units we have out there.

For the most part, the plugin really just sits idle and receives callbacks from the panel whenever events happen. So, in between zone trips, area changes, etc it just sits idle.

When, say, a zone trips, the info comes into the plugin and it just updates a HS device with that value. So, unless you have a lot 'busy' devices, then the plugin is mostly idle.

Do you have a HS event that might be running on that particular zone? It's possible that an event is getting run and might be executing over and over.

Check your HS logs around that time and see if anything strange is going on.
