Android client not connecting v 1.0.144

Im having great difficulty connecting the Homeseer Touch client. I'm getting the following errors.......connected but not authorised check your settings or application stopped unexpectedly or a black screen with V 1.0.144 H:800 W:400.

I don't use MyHS service as I've no need for it. The iOS client connects and works fine. All my settings are fine and I've tried all the obvious solutions like uninstalling and reinstalling the Android client and and stopping and starting the Homeseer Touch plugin.

Am I missing something obvious. I have the iOS client working so I understand the setup basics.

Still having the same problem. I've tried two different Android devices with the same results. As I posted earlier the iOS client is working fine. I don't use MyHS service as I connect directly to my home server. The 10200 port is forwarded correctly.

The "connected but not authorised" and the "application has stopped unexpectedly" errors leads me to believe that it's something to do with the configuration files presented to the client and it's inability to handle them.

Does anyone have the Android client running on a Samsung Galaxy that may be able to point me in the right direction. I do notice that there is not a lot of discussion on the Android client. Would this be an indication that there is not a big user base for it.

Well, I was about to start a new thread about why I can't connect with HSTouch on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and I found your post. I have 3 different android tablets at home and each is able to connect. However, with the exact same settings or upgrading to the latest beta apk, I cannot connect with my Galaxy by any means (MyHS or local). Well, at least HSBuddy works great.

I'm having the same issue. It'll work through MyHomeseer, but not local. It's a newer Acer Iconia Tablet. I have some Nexus 7's that have no issues, so maybe it has something to do with newer hardware as the 7's are 2013 models.

I took the acer back and got a new (same brand acer iconia) from BB, and it's working correctly. I think there may be a problem with the updates not taking correctly. The new tablet is running v7.0. The Nexus 7s are runnin 6.0.1, and the old Acer which had problems was running 6.0. it didn't have a 3rd number. Now the new one is running 7.0 and works. I don't know how all the android revisions work, but maybe there's a problem with 6.0.

Has anyone managed to get the Android client working on the Samsung Galaxy S2. I didn't manage to get any working solution and I tried a couple of different versions of the client. Still having the same problems as I had in the OP. Connection being made with the server but the app stops working unexpectedly and it drops the connection with the server. All login credentials are correct.

Would anyone have any further ideas where I could go from here. My iOS client is still working fine.
