    feature request

I would find a "heartbeat" device useful to show server is running

How do you envision determining online or not? If you are thinking a ping from the HS3 server to the server in question you could use jon00 or blades network monitor plugins.
Personally I would like a more monitor for web interfaces so I can tell if a service on a server is functional or not.

Whilst there is no HS device to represent the status of the plug-ins's http server, there is a heartbeat mechanism in place that checks every 1 minute if the server is still listening. If it's not, then it will attempt to restart it and you will get a warning message in the HS log.

Until Steve's recent issues I have never had a report of the http server crashing, so I've not spent much time testing the heartbeat function.

I'm currently working with Steve to try and establish what's causing the http server to randomly stop responding.

Feature request: default user on maps

        Hi Paul,

Would it be possible to add the following feature to mapping: have a default user defined on the (config) 'Mapping' tab. It would then only be necessary to click the 'Build map' button to get a display.

Reasoning: it's only me and my wife and I know for sure where I am
