Weather XML stopped working after last HS3 update

    Hi,
I updated HS3 a few days ago and did not notice anything odd.
I noticed today that my weather was not updating. All of the setup options are not showing up. All I get is this message...

Locations Settings Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

Since all the setup options are not showing I can check or change anything.
The plugin is enabled and shows up as OK.
    Any ideas, thanks?

Have you tried disabling the plugin and then re-enabling it?

There has been some issues when HS shuts down that the ini files get corrupted. Look in your backups in the HomeSeer HS3/config/weatherXML directory. Shut down weatherXML, grab the ini files and copy them them from your backup, then start weatherXML.

Thanks for the quick response. Copied over the backups but no different (they were a year old).
Can I delete them and start over or will that delete all the weather devices (major problem for HSTouch on all my panels and phones).

Looked in the .ini files, weatherInfo is blank, both the running and backups.
WeaatherDevices looks like a normal ini

Went back to the config backup folder and got a file that brought most of it back. Needed to add the api and a bunch of other stuff but it looks like it is going to be fine again.
            Thanks for the help.
Once it is all set up again I will pull a backup.

I have been rewriting sections of weatherXML to move away from ini files.
If you are on the latest version then the weatherXML devices refIDs are not stored in an ini file. I changed the plugin to grab all the devices that are owned by weatherXML. As long as you don't selete one of the devices, the plugin will find them again.

The beta version in the updater beta section has the rewritten maps section that no longer uses an ini file. With this version there is only 3 ini files left. The alert triggers will be the next section that will be rewritten to not use an ini file. Hope to start on that in November.

If you are looking for some really good backup software, try Acronis True Image. I have been using it for years. I have it set to run daily. Once a week it makes a complete backup, and then daily it makes an incremental backup. I have it set it keep the first backup and then to keep the past 10 weeks of backups. I have a hard drive setup that the backups are saved to. When I lost my c drive, I was able to put a new blank hard drive in, boot from an a True Image made CD and it did an exact copy of the old drive onto the new drive from the backup file. I was back up and running is a short time. No re-installing windows and spending hours re-installing all my programs. It has also saved me many times when I needed to pull a specific file from a few days ago.
