    Not Playing Nice

    Help.

I have everything set up but a simple manual event trigger to test the operation fails with the following log entries:

Dec-13 7:04:22 AM Z-Wave Device: Laundry Hall Status Temperature Set to 65 (F)

Dec-13 7:04:11 AM Z-Wave Device: Laundry Hall Status Temperature Set to 66 (F)

Dec-13 7:04:04 AM Sonos Error Error in DoCheckAnnouncementQueue. 100 seconds expired since the announcement started and no end was received.

Dec-13 7:03:11 AM Warning File does not exist: /usr/local/HomeSeer/html/Sonos/Announcements/Ann_speak_0.wav

Dec-13 7:03:10 AM Event Event Trigger "Testing Test Audio 2"

Dec-13 7:03:10 AM Event Event Testing Test Audio 2 triggered by the event page 'Run' button.

Dec-13 7:02:40 AM Sonos DirectConnect called for Zone Patio with device name = uuid:RINCON_000E5852183801400 and Model = S5

All I have done is create a manual triggered event that when triggered speaks text, "Test Speaker." The log events show what happens when it is triggered and nothing comes out of the speaker. The speaker will stop playing but again nothing happens. How do I get Homeseer to create the missing file that looks like it needs to be sent to the Sonos. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Is Homeseer running as administrator?
Did you give the PI itself (!!) the proper firewall allowances?

If you look at the homeseer device management page, and you change a player state from say pause to play, do these devices get updated? If not, the PI doesn't have proper firewall allowances.

      Linux hometrollerSEL 3.16.0-031600-generic

I am running on the hometroller not the raspberry pi

It looks like when the file needs to be sent to the sonos, it isn't there to send.

Ah I missed it was Linux. Do some searching on this forum how to install flite (and not picolight (or something like it)) so you have proper speak-to-file support including some speak-to-file.sh file .....
