Can I User Ultra1Wire3 To Graph Other Temperature Sensors?

I wanted an application that will let me pick a list of sensors to add and remove from temperature graphs. Will Ultra1Wire3 allow me to do this. I do not have any 1Wire devices, just lots of misc devices that expose a temperature component that I want to consolidate and graph.

If Ultra1Wire3 does not support this, can anyone point me to something that does?

No, the Ultra1Wire3 HSPI is designed to record sensor reading from supported devices. See http://www.automatedhomeonline.com/H...ltra1wire3.htm

Check out the Device History plug-in. It may allow you to graph sensor readings. Jon00 (https://forums.homeseer.com/forumdisplay.php?f=883) may also have a free solution to graph device value changes.

Thanks so much! I will go look at those. Basically I used to use mcsTemperature for pulling in Temperature based data from various sources and graphing them. I was hopeful your plug-in might still allow me to pull data from other sources.

      Thanks again!

That's actually an interesting idea. Do you already have device in HomeSeer that record temperature and you're just looking to graph their readings into a chart?

Yes there are MANY MANY MANY devices that have a temperature sensor that I would like to pull into a dedicated DB and be able to graph. Example Devices that I own that have Temperature sensor as a HomeSeer device:

          - OmniStat II Thermostat
          - Current Cost Envi Energy Use Monitor
          - ZWave Water Leak Sensor
          - Oregon Scientific Sensors via RFXCom interface

Back when I used HS2, I had a plug-in called mcsTemperature that you basically just told it:

          1. What Device to read the value from for temperature (it could be any device)
          2. What you wanted to call that Device in the Temperature DB
          3. What scaling factor you wanted to use to normalize the device data (in case it did not use full integers for temperature

That was it... it would then record the temperature as the device values changed to a local DB and allow you to graph them. You could select what temperature devices to include or exclude from a particular graph.

Basically it did not matter what devices it pulled the temperature data from or the source of those devices (even if you created your own virtual device and pulled in local weather station temperature).

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this functionality again!

If you look for mcsTemperature you will see that I am not alone in wanting this. Lots of people have been asking for the same thing in HS3. There is a demand and it would make quite a few people happy.
