re events log .. daily backup

I want to keep a copy of the events that occurred during the day, that are in the log of HS3.

I see a start up log (which is text and great) .. but I am assuming the log I am looking for is the HomeSeerLog.hsd .. and not human readable.

I want a copy of all the events for a day .. and then store these in archive files ... but I do not see any tool that provides access (other than scripting) of this file.

Does anyone have any knowledge of how to do this ??

    tanx..

It's a SQLite database - there are some SQLite admin tools available for download to search and list the logs.

I use UltraLog3 and store a year of log data. This allows me to search for any event type or keyword over a year of log entries. Then it is easy to filter on a type of log entry and a date range. Here are events that ran on July 4 last year:

Randy, this is great .. a bit more than was asking for .. but very good.

Just one question, can one create a text file using this app, identifying a date range and triggering thru an event?

A CSV or text output has been requested, but so far the author has not implemented it. I think the last request was over a year ago. Perhaps a potential purchaser making the request might generate more traction I know I could use it.
