Failing device halts all z-wave actions?

Hi everyone, I need a little help here. Lately I am experiencing some issues with my system.

Basically z-wave actions are not performed for period of time. It can be a few second to a few minutes. I thought it was related to installation of some new switches.

After more digging in event log I have found that I am getting error as follow.

When that happens all z-wave actions/commands are queued it looks like and on hold until "Failed sending Z-Wave command to device:" is corrected. After that system tries to catch up and performs all z-wave related tasks that were requested during "Error" period. It is pretty random and I can't find pattern to it.

    So my two questions are:

    1. Is that failing switch causing the error?

    2. Is that normal and expected behavior that with this error everything else will pretty much fail to execute as far as z-wave commands go when this error is happening?

    Thanks for your input. Charles

So it is not limited to one switch. That makes me think it might be something else and not failing switch.

It happened again after short time this time on different switch.

Again nothing really works while this error is happening. This time it is over 10 minutes and still going on. I intentionally want to leave it alone to see if it comes back on it's own instead of restarting Z-wave interface or HS.

    Any ideas?

I thought commands were issued in parallel rather than serial? If so, seems odd things would back up due to that error.

Surprised me too. Not sure what is going on but no Z-wave actions are executed when this is happening and it makes it very frustrating.

Maybe it is related to Z-Stick, maybe software.. I am lost so I was hoping someone might have some idea how to troubleshoot it.

1st step I am trying to do is Full Optimize on affected switches to see if that is going to do anything.
