    Z Wave v LightwaveRF

I am moving house shortly which has several LightwaveRF switches / dimmers my current house i have used Z Wave which as always worked spot on for me.

The new house is bigger and I would need to buy more Z Wave devices or more LightwaveRF devices does anybody have any opinion on whats better and also if running them together?

Is LightwaveRF as quick to update if someone pushes a switch etc?

I think there has been some changes to Lightwave so you now have two generations of hardware, the first generation is simple RF dumb commands and you have no acknowledgement that the device has received it and also no ability to know should it be locally controlled. I believe the generation two hardware does have two way control however to what degree that support exists in HS I am not sure, speed wise I can't comment on.

Years ago in another home we had UPB which was pretty good in its consistency.

We now have z-wave and after nearly two years would never go back. Quite happy with it.

Get rid of the lightwave asap, it's garbage.

One way comms, poor range and buggy
