Is this for HS2 or HS3? What are the improvements?

I've been running 1.2.0.0 on HS2 with my Vista 10 without issue since install.
If there's something I can benefit from with the new release, I may take advantage of it.

    Thanks,

    Robert

      Robert,
I don't think there is anything earth shattering here. I'll update the original post with a few highlights. the previous betas attempted to resolve the usb disconnect issue

Receive Status but cannot control the system HS2Pro

I have been running plugin version 1.2 with HS2Pro without problems for two years. About a week ago I purchased HS3Pro with the intent of slowing getting that system up to speed while I continued to rely upon HS2Pro for keeping the house in order. I do not run HS3 and HS2 at the same time and as you would expect they have different folders. While running with HS3 I purchased and downloaded the vista alarm plug in. In connects to the alarm and reports status but it will not arm or disarm the system or enter a zone in bypass. I went back to HS2 and the same problem occurs, I get system status but cannot control the system. The same is true with the alarm decoder gui. I re-installed plugin version 1.2 for HS2 but no luck. Any suggestions?

make sure you have Partition 1 defined and have entered a master code on the setup. also, enter a master code on the main config page with the plugin

Address 18 is unique to the AD2USB.
Confirmed the Alarm System Device 18 is programmed as:
                01 Alpha Keyboard
Partition 1 (there is only one partition)
                Sound Disabled (00)
                Keypad Global (0 False)
                AUI (0 False)

Re-loaded the AD2USB Firmware, no change in performance. Also, the individual zones programmed in HS2 also do not get updates from the Alarm System (faulted etc. They used to).

Something happened when I installed HS3 on the system or the HS3 AD2USB plug-in. It appears as if the the device receives but cannot communicate with the alarm system. Could it be something with the device or an ini file that was changed or a setting in the Windows 10 registry was changed. Both HS2 Pro and HS3 have separate .ini files -- as they should. I do not operate both version of HS at the same time.

The log reporting in HS3 is more robust then the reporting from HS2 Pro.

The system is set to Vista 128, is that wrong?

I see the ignored messages, but not a a lot. They occur right after or before an alarm system status.

I have not tried putty. Do you have a link for Win 10 version?

                    Thanks!

if you have a vista 50, then you need to set it to 50. the 50 uses a 2 digit zone number where as the 128 uses a three digit zone number.

putty here: you don't need a specific win10 version.

                        AD2USB Address correction

This is fixed now. Thank you very much for your support. I downloaded Putty and waded through the documentation, used it in the serial mode with correct port and buad rate. It was a little confusing as I continued to receive messages from the alarm system as I attempted to configure the AD2USB; but in the end it worked. The problem was the AD2USB had an alarm terminal address of "27" instead of the default of "18" I have no clue how that got changed. But I entered 18 and stepped through all the options with the defaults. Works great now. Again thanks for the assistance. I am now ready to start the migration to HS3... that will be fun.

Like Viper8726 here I am still using HS2 as the workhorse to control my home. My AD2USB was destroyed by lightning this week (Open Ckt error). This has happen twice now. I bought a new AD2USB from homeseer but it was listed as "series 2". Running version 1.2.3.0 of the HS2 plugin. Is the AD2USB - Series 2 compatible with the HS2 version of the plugin? Should I upgrade to v1.3.0 of the plugin?
                            Thanks!
