Twice a year. The controllers go on sale in subsequent weeks for 15% off I believe. Less margin to work with on hardware vs their own software, I imagine.

Ecolink PIR-ZWAVE2.5 Zwave Plus evaluation

I found another source for the new Z Wave Plus version of the Ecolink PIR. They look identical inside and out other than the new 500 series chip. Performance is also identical, fast responding.
