I don't have any plugins installed. I'm just starting out trying to figure out what to do next.

    Thanks,

You must have corrected it from post #4 to 5 in post #13. That through me until I did a redraw. brientim has you covered.

Starting off is a learning curve and there are great folks here that are very willing to help... the forum is full of great info but maybe a little overwhelming and that is why I added the link to Homeseer video tutorials.

Regardless of brand of the z-wave stick the processes are the same

I selected Plugin HomeSeer Z-Wave, Download and Install. It's been stuck on Downloading for a long time now.

        Any suggestions?

        Thanks,

          I shutdown HomeSeer.
          I started HomeSeer.
          I managed to install Z-wave.
It's enabled. At the end it's disabled.
The pull down still only shows Manage.
          I don't see how I can configure Z-Wave.

I have updated Z-Wave to the Beta version.

I still can't configure it for some reason.

I have reloaded the interfaces page.

I don't see anything that has changed.

Windows security maybe preventing it starting....
                        1. Try running HS3 as Administrator.
                        2. Try stopping and starting the plugin again and if the "disabled" doesn't change to "OK" to signify it is running, go to log and see if you can establish the error...

                        similar occurrence in this thread.

I am about to drop out as I just had shoulder surgery the other day and the meds are now kicking in. Someone else may need to chime in.

What version of HS3 are you running?

That it displays HSTouch as a plugin vs. a builtin indicates a rather elderly version indeed.

Click on the "?" in the upper right and post the info section indicted for Message Board help.

Also, View-> Log and post the transcript of what happens when you disable the enable the Z-Wave plugin.

That is non-standard place for the program (or any program) to be installed. The default location is sub-folder "HomeSeer HS3" under the Windows-standard "C:\Program Files\" (32-bit) or "C:\Program Files (x86)\" (64-bit). Is there some reason its not in the the "normal" place? And again, what version is installed?
Regarding the permissions issue - you'll need to determine what user id the HomeSeer application is running as.
